Default Virgin media has crack down illage boxes in Nottingham

Hi guys

I have heard that in Nottingham virgin media has crack down so many people who ware viewing cable channels, Is is it true?

Virgin media can crack down if you are getting signal through internet connection.

Can anyone from Nottingham conform this ..................if it is true.

I bought an 18 gain directional antenna and a pci wireless card plugged it into my upstairs spare pc and use that pc as a gateway on my network. I now use my C/S connection from a neighbour’s house over the road two doors up HA! I get 95% signal it’s as if I am in the room with them. How safe is that?

I think VM are pretty aware of this method so I should imagine its about as safe as running of a connection going straight into your house. VM aren't stupid (although there customer service dept does a very good impression).

Generally, open WiFi connections are as traceable as just about anything else.
