Default owners of clones

does anyone here own a cloned dream800hd? how has your experience been with it? I know when people say "its manufactured cheaply its unreliable" etc etc.
how has it faired with your usage, and is it a viable way of owning such an expensive box?
(im not looking for difficulties in software or images, as the seller is doing that for me, just on how the hardware fairs)

The tuners are not as good as genuine. Liable to glitching on HD channels, it does vary according to your Dish installation. Some say using a line amp helps.

I would say it works pretty well, it does cause glitching on HD channels but using an in line amp does help and removes glitching and it works perfectly. I have been using it for 4 months and haven't had any problems so far apart from the glitching which is now sorted. If you read a card with it , it tends to get warm and could burn the card as its card reader is at a higher voltage than the sky box which the card is optimized at so i would advise using a fan to keep it cool even if your not use a fan as the tuner gets warm quite a bit and when inserting an HDD internally it get extremely warm so a fan is necessary. Apart from the overheating the box is great for a clone.

You may want to use an external USB card reader like the Omnikey - I hear that keeps the card nice and cool
