Hey,

i have been looking on ebay, and all the laptops on .co.uk are really cheap, whereas the ones from china can be really cheap - so are there any websites that sell laptops cheaply (unbranded or Branded) from sources that may be out of the UK.

I think a big issue you need to consider is support.

If you buy a cheap laptop from China, and end up with either a hardware or software issue, where are you going to go to get it fixed??

The key here the price. How cheap could you get them and then I would worry about the repairs. Knowing there is a lot of help online helps too, at the same time any laptop can be taken in for a pair, but all sorts of free support is available online for simple complications.

i've bought laptops off ebay but i only trust one seller, his username is something like Activeantz or something like that, he is fair cheap and has good support, i will see if i can find the correct name and post back on here

I got mine at a cool $150. The only downside is that it needed to be upgraded, was a bit slow. It was a good investment in my opinion.

I have actually never checked out ebay for a laptop. But I would have to agree even though there is alot of help on the internet if you ever did have to get a part or something it could be fairly exspensive to get or find for that matter.

If you buy on Ebay, read the details very carefully (and definitely make sure shipping isn't outrageous). Check seller feedback, and ask anything you are curious about. When I'm making an investment like that, I don't play! haha

I am weary about buying a laptop I can't test out first. My computers are my livelihood and I would rather pay more and be certain than take a chance.
