Default help specifically with V/M 256 modem

Hi everyone.

I have a 10 mb virgin media modem.That is a 256.How would I go about flashing it,with what tools would I need,firmware etc?

And the money breaker of them all what would flashing the modem allow me to do?

Thanks,

if it isn't a sub, you will either need a new chip or a programmer to erase and program the existing chip.

if you want a preprogrammed chip i am selling a handfull in the classifieds

Hmmm, no it's not a subbed box,use to be! Out of contract now and cut off.
So once I programe the box or put a chip init. Then I will have to find mac adresses and the average highest speeds I could find are?

I Just like to be clear on things before I do something.

I'm going to have A look in the classified now so I'm abit more clear on the chip.

Thanks,

The chip is the easy part, the hard part is getting working MAC addresses now adays .
