Default Virgin Media not took STB/modem

Just wondering, as we cancelled a contract with VM, and the haven't took the box/modem yet, do we simply wait for them to take them? And if they dont take it after a set period of time, are they ours?

Thanks

They aren't "yours" after a certain amount of time but i'd just go ahead and mod/sell the items anyway. It's their loss and if they want them back then they will make the effort to collect them .

I would have thought that they'd want to come for their modem, considering its a newer Scientific Atlanta 2100! Though it may not be economical for them to have it sent back to them

With the Pace 4000, I see why they may not tell us to send it back, considering that they are pretty outdated now, and they are sending out Samsung 2110's out everywhere now

The standard practice in this area now seems to be to tell you to keep the box/modem in case you want to sign up again later. They keep a note of all the equipment you have.

Ah, so you should keep it in case you do wish to use VM in the future? Though what if you want to sign up 5 years later, and you've lost your items(legitimately) ie: if someone at customer services tells you to "keep" the items

Or if you move house etc...

On the point of cancelling your VM contract, can you cancel the phone and broadband service but keep just the basic M TV package and if so at what cost. Anyone know from past experience.

you cant do that anymore

They make you buy it in a package from what I know

So for example if you take the Phone and TV you will be charged 25 quid... which means you might as well as take the Broadband as well

and it will still cost the same price.

they do not do the Phone and TV deals together anymore from what I am aware off.... They now do it as a Package.

Braodband, Phone and TV

Unless its changed now... So I could be wrong.

You can do just the M+ package on its own for £11.50 a month - thats 65 channels incl Sky1/2 and Virgin1.

Your really encouraged to take the phone though as the M+ TV price drops to £5.50 if you also take the phoneline at £11.99

Dont think you can buy the M pack on its own (its normally free with a phoneline and Broadband)
