Default Questions from a newbie, please help....

Dear all,

I just come over to this area, so some questions I ask may be silly or simple for you guys, but those really confuse me a lot. I would be grateful if all of them can be answered.....Thank YOU

At the moment, I am living at the place covering the cable service from them, and the line is definitely active (because I'm using their internet service ONLY). Few days ago, I got a Pace DI4001NC box with card from one of my friends, and it is still in genuine condition (non-chipped)... Here are my questions......

1, can they realize that I am watching their telly service if I connect the cable and switch on the box? (I guess they should be able to do so because of the talkback) If so, who will they identify as? me or the original owner? If they identify as the owner, and the owner asks to cancel the telly service, is this box still able to receive the service if it is not chipped?

2, is there any tutorial talking about how to make the box "fully function" by DIY? (I guess two elements are essential, hammer and fire (joking). a funcard and cutting off talkback)

3, After cutting off talkback, can they know which channel I am watching?

4, can any one of the funcards found on *-bay be used after properly "looked after"?

5, why is the funcard needed to be re-flushed after a while?

6, is it possible to clone the original viewing card for backup? If so, which kind of empty card is suitable?

I think that's all the questions at the moment.

Thanks for looking and answering ...

Cut the talkback and your safe, you will neeed a programmer, funcards are the easiest to start on, you need the box key and ird codes to programme the card, the ird is normally on the top of the scart cover inside the box, you can use a led sim card (about £20) it fits in the upright sim card slot, to read the box key, you can get led sim and fun card from lincsats nick nack shop in the classified section on here. You can use original card and get bk from it, but you would need an unlooper to unlock it, and programmer has to have phoenix mode, cards only need re-flashing when they go down , latest flash is auto updating and has been working since may.
