Hi,
I have decided to look at my existing Virgin package and see if there was a deal to be had seeing as my contact has run its 12 months.
At present I have
XL- Broadband
M – TV
M – Phone package
I pay about £32 for this at the moment.
I am happy with the internet but would love to have V+ HD.
As usual I played the ‘I want to leave Virgin’ card and the 1st person I spoke to was so rude I had to terminate the call.
The next person was throwing all sorts of facts and figures at me regarding the internet speed and how competitors were rubbish etc.
When I asked if they could give me a better deal they said if I want to keep paying the same as I am now and change to HD I will have to downgrade the broadband.
Is there going to be a notable difference between 20mb and 10mb?
Does anyone have any ideas on any deals knocking about at the moment or and haggling tactics I can play on them?

I get 10 meg and find it very good speed to do everything I need

Not sure if this helps at all, but recently I asked for a 2nd box in another room.

I originally had a SD no V+ box in the lounge.

I now have V+ HD in the lounge

and a HD box in another room.

It cost me £5.50 or was is £5 a month more.

Hi i was paying £39.00 a month for 20meg+ xl phone unlimited calls freeview tv this inc the phone line rental . Phoned them up said sky had been trying to get me to swop to them. They offered xl tv package for extra £3.50 a week free v+Hd box no charge and free installation. Try this phone up ask to be put though to there department that deals with canceling your services with them they will ask why just tell you are not happy with the way you have been treated by there staff as a loyal customer and you have heard of others that are getting better deals than you. good luck.

Fook me, I pay £37 a month for 20meg BB no phone nor TV. Time for me to make a call too.

Bloody hell mate, I have tv(m+) 20mb bb and talkanytime phone package,47 quid all in!
