Ambit 255

i am attempting to flash Haxorware 11 rev39 on to my ambit 255 but i have no "P" option, so i have to unlock it with Console unlocker and then flash bootloader with softjtag

But,

Console Unlock says that it was successful .. i then run softjtag and it says "connecting to modem..... Connection established " and the i get an unhandled exception message from windows, i click continue and nothing happens ...

i have tried reseting the modem and the PC countless times, i have reinstalled VJ and .net and i get the same result ..

what am i doing wrong?

Try Redownloading Softjtag or Reinstall Microsoft .NET or Try Restarting your PC.

have done all 3 but MAJOR PROBLEM!!

I have tried to use Ambit configuration tool 0.973 beta to flash my bootloader, it started well but it came up with a "critical error" and it says that if my modem looses power it will be bricked and tells me to sort out my connections and try again



what do i do?

What version of SoftJTag are you using? I find it works better if I drop the exploit using 0, 5, 7 or 8 as the inject delay.

i have been trying to use 3 different versions of softjtag (3.10, 3.01 and 3.10mod)

i will try what you said and then write back

i tried the inject delay on 0 to 15 and it said it worked everytime but when i click connect in softjtag i it connects to modem then i get an error

i really don't know what to do now... i cant turn it off because amchobit say it will be bricked if it looses power.. and it wont let me flash the bootloader

Try doing everything just after you booted the PC. Also, Windows XP worked 100% for me so maybe you could try a machine with that on.

i risked it and un plugged the modem.. and it isn't bricked so it looks like console unlocker isn't unlocking the modem and softJTAG and Am(cho)Bit can touch it...


so any ideas on how to make console unlocker actually unlock the modem and not just say it has?

i have tried changing the inject delay from 0-20 and i can get hyperterminal to read my boot fine so i know it isn't the max232 that is the problem...



i am on a xp machine already
