Default A history lesson

Hi guys, just a general question. I see posts from various users saying they have had 5, maybe 10 years use of free channels by use of various stb's. Out of geeky curiousity I just want to know how long cable has been hacked here in the UK and what boxes were first used.

were eurovoxs always the most popular boxes....whatever happened to those analogue telewest stb's that you could chip....

Thanks

its been hacked for alot longer than that only from my area, its been hacked since it was laid. boxes are the old red number jerrolds with test chips fitted.

moved on to alot of people using super baby Js and the ilk for ease of fitting. Then came digital. and the cards were more or less open bak in those days
