Advice for newbie please

I am thinking about buying a motorised system from ebay, here is the details

TECHNOMATE TM 3500 D USB PVR SATELLITE RECEIVER, PLUS A FULL MOTORISED 90CM SATELLITE DISH





1 X TECHNOMATE 3500 D USB PVR READY RECEIVER


1 X FORTECSTAR 90CM SATELLITE DISH WITH WALL BRACKET


1 X DIGIQUEST 0.3DB HD READY LNB


1 X FORTECSTAR, SATELLITE MOTOR, DISEQC AND USALS



This is for around £180, is this a good starter system for where i live in Newcastle. I already have a sky dish and sky receiver which i thought i would just keep as well. I live in a detached house in the middle of nowhere so siting is not an issue nor is any obstacles.

Can someone give me some advice on this system please. Alos could I just use the new reciever for all of my sky programmes as well I just have the £20 card for all free channels.

I have been offered a similar deal with a technomate 600 fully fitted for £300, is this a good or better deal?

Yep sounds about right.

Though the wall brackets usually supplied are not suitable for a motorised dish.


Fully fitted with a TM600 is a very good deal, but possibly too cheap. Not much at all has been allowed for the fitting cost.

No, the Sky FTV card won't work in the Tecnomate, it only gives you about 5 extra channels anyway, if you must have them keep the Sky dish and box.
