xbox 360 jerky game play

i have brought two xbox 360s and both have jerky gameplay, both on fifa 10 mostly, the cut scenes are jerky and gameplay stops and starts almost like fps is up and down, i have played the fifa world cup demo, and the cut scenes in that are jerky too,

please any ideas what the problem could be?
