I have been using my EX1100 USB for sometime now and after a recent power cut when the power came back on the light on the box is like a purple colour and won't swith on. Anyone help??

Have you tried a re-flash.

How do you do that when the unit won't switch on? I have reinstalled the firmware several times in the past via the USB but the unit needs to be on!

Sounds like the caps have gone, take the lid of and from memory look at cap C14 to see if is bulging on the top, and C12 the same, if so replace them. I got mine from Maplins

Can you be sure it is these 2 number C14 & C12 that might be at fault as they seem ok?

if the purple light is constant then it needs to be reflashed but you have to flash it the old way using a null modem cable.
if purple light is flashing then the PSU has gone

Yep, c12 and c14, now, I couldnt get an exact mach but fitted 16v 220uF from Maplins and its still working.

I have a null modem cable but wondered where to get the software from to flash my box. Any help??
