pends where you are, if your in ntl areas youll have to use 0002 and 00d0 ones, the amount of 0014 that will actually run is more or less nil so no point in testing them.

other areas you can use 0040 and 0020. anything else except perhaps SA modem 0013 sort of thing will be just cpe macs

Seems I have picked a bad time to get to come to this scene...a bit of a head melter getting up to speed and trying to score with moving and shrinking goal posts!!!

Anyhows...I'm on cpc1-bele1 pure NTL area trying to get online with haxorware11rev32. So at mac snipping stage. Can someone pls take a min to explain in simple terms WHY I should only look for 0002 and 00d0 MACS with a config file? Might it be coz they will be for old docsis1.0 boxes hence just need to punch in mac in haxoware and hey presto...none of that BPI and MAC collsion bull to contend with???

Any help much appreciated.

yes docsis 1.0 macs (WHY I should only look for 0002 and 00d0 MACS) them and a few more are the only 1s that are working, In hax your BPI needs 2 be BPI 1.0.

if your sniffing in your ubr then you need macs in a different cpc like your in cpc1 so get cpc2 macs..

Any other settings in hax besides BPI 1.0 important other than usual stuff...like need to force config or atoserve or all that is by wayside since new dynmic configs arrived?

PS I'm a little confused re: need for different CPCs for these MACS as I thought BPI 1.0 didn't check for mac collision. (Wiki talks about 1.1 introducing MAC Collision detection).

Is this something new by VM themselves for clone detection on a mac registered with a doc 1 file?
