Default Encryption

Just for my understanding;

I GUESS Eurovox currently has the HW/SW in teh box to decrypt what VM used.

Now with nagravision, won't a new box be available. Isn't it like sat boxes when you need a new encryption system you have to get a new CAM. In Eurovox case the whole box acts as a CAM/Card combo.

Or am I missing the point?

You're right - you're missing the point.

Thanks gji25.

Had a quick read on this, for other novices like me, you'll need an internet connection to plug into the back of this box - could be a problem for those without a router near the TV unless they do a wireless one

There must be a web server somewhere distributing the codes to the box frequently. So your ISP will have a log of you connecting to the server often.

I wonder if you are VM - you'd do a sneaky look at the web logs to see whose connecting?

IF I were the person at Virgin Media who looks around fora like this where people who steal cable services lurk, I certainly would be identifying those that were taking this route.
