There's really not that much difference tbh. Technically the boxes are very similar (if your nit picking the BT box is actually technically superior) but it really comes down to the platforms and individual channels rather than the equipment.
On both platforms each channel has quite a large lattitude in the bit rates they transmit at. Some channels use fairly low resolutions and bit rates whilst other channels use much higher resolutions and bit rates Generally, its the same channels on both platforms that use lower bit rates but you may occasionally find a channel looks better on one platform over the other. End of the day, unless your exceddingly picky, its doubtful you will notice a difference in actual picture quality between the two platforms. Of course, no two boxes ever actually have the same output levels (component tolerances) so you'll never actually get two boxes that look identical. |
