Blu-ray is getting more and more popular. But there are still some who hasn’t made the switch. A lot of people are still using standard DVD. Most of us who still have a large DVD collection, would still appreciate a good and reliable DVD player.

There are two words that can be used to describe the Toshiba SD1010 DVD Player – quality and value. For those who wants to enjoy their DVD collection, an affordable choice is the Toshiba SD1010 which will set you back by about £30.

Finished with a contemporary glossy black design, the SD1010 weighs around 1.24kg and measures approximately 330mm wide and 43mm high. Pretty standard for DVD players.

DVD is a mature format and the video quality of the SD1010 is as much as can be expected for a DVD player. The SD1010 ‘s striking point is that it can play a lot of video and audio formats.

For video, it plays formats such as DVD-ROM,DVD-R,DVD+R,,DVD Video,Divx,MP3,Jpeg,Video CD,SVCD. For audio, MPEG1,MPEG2 (Digital Out),PCM,DTS (Digital Out) Compatible.

At this price range, the SD1010 is already cheap, and performance is very reliable. It does what is required of it, with no obvious drawbacks other than the very small, very close buttons on the remote control.

A basin DVD player with no frills, that’s the Toshiba SD1010.
