Westinghouse LTV-37w2 Review

Low-priced HDTV’s with very good performance is hard to come by. If you want quality coupled with performance, then you have to pay a substantial amount to acquire products such as these. With its 37-inch, liquid crystal display television, Westinghouse gives us an answer to this question. The LTV-37W2 HDTV is mid-priced at around $1,100 – $1,300. With a simple, clean design, it is perfect for those looking for a TV to fit a tight space and a slim wallet.

High definition tests performed for the LTC-37W2 produced acceptable results. It showed particular strength in reproducing pleasing skin tones. The color saturation seemed acceptable and that would leave most of the consumer satisfied with the product. There is, however, a downside to this otherwise brilliant product. Users have commented on its picture quality. They have noticed slight pixelation and uneven blending on some instances that users tend to be distracted from the movie or show that they are watching. However, for those who have their minds set on this particular model, there’s no need to despair, as test show that standard definition clips provided better results and actually helped in the picture quality.

A typical pair of speakers (rated at 10 watts each) are integrated nicely into the black set, forming the bottom part of the TV’s cabinet. Not unexpectedly for a TV of its class, the LTV-37w2 generated generally flat sound. Another point to mention is the remote control, there weren’t many complaints regarding this feature. It is very easy to operate as well as being easily understood.

The TV’s SpineDesign places all connectors on both side of the TV’s spine. This ensures allowable access to the connectors even when the TV is hanging from a wall. This allows convenience and simplifies the task of connecting cables unto it.

In general, this TV has good features, reliable performance, sufficient for the money you paid for it. Even with the imperfections and flaws, the LTC-37W2 37-inch HDTV is one of the best value you get for your money.
