Keyspan ships new USB print server

August 2, 2007

Keyspan has started to distribute its USB 2.0 Server for PCs and Macs. The product acts as both a print server and USB extender, allowing network users to wirelessly connect to remote USB devices such as printers, scanners, digital cameras, storage devices and data loggers.

Two USB 2.0 devices can be accessed over an Ethernet network or WiFi via the server, which enables multiple users to share USB devices on a network.

The USB 2.0 Server eliminates the need for a dedicated PC to host for a USB device. The WiFi connection means that USB devices can be accessed from any distance via a laptop - ideal for workers on the move.

The server is compatible with PCs running Windows XP or Windows Vista, or Macs running Mac OS XR (10.3.9 or later).

The Keyspan USB 2.0 Server retails for around $129, and is available from Keyspan’s online store. Keyspan’s web site - - gives a list of international distributors.
