Most schools get broadband

January 14, 2008

Despite what we are hearing from industry and even some MP’s claiming that broadband is causing problems in rural areas, which in turn has caused industry and local businesses to suffer loss of trade etc.

However it seems that in another report out today which states that 98% of all schools in the UK are connected to the internet through a broadband connection. This follows a massive investment of over fifteen million pounds by the government and by telecoms companies too.

There is possibly a over lap here where business and pubic services follow different lines, but super fast broadband is being rolled out as fast as the companies can, despite calls from MP’s and others the job is getting done.
