Six Nations available on BBC’s iPlayer<br />

The BBC have made a good deal here with allowing the Six Nations rugby union matches that are shown on TV available on the new iPlayer, this will start over the weekend, so they will be able to be watch on a computer over the next couple of days.

This is the first attempt by the BBC to show a major sporting event through the iPlayer over a broadband connection. As with anything available through the iPlayer matches will be available for seven days after the day that the match is first shown, which is ideal for people who miss the match or are abroad.

Should this prove to be a success, then there is no doubt that major sporting events such as the Olympics will follow suit, however the ISP’s will not be too pleased with this as they are already complaining about the increased bandwidth being used.
