Customer service to be free at BT<br />

It is the one thing that many people desire, the ability to call up their ISP and talk the customer services people for free which would take out all of the frustration with being left on the phone waiting to be transferred to another department.

But BT are looking to do just that for their broadband customers, as from the 1st of April the company are going to be looking at changing over the existing phone numbers to free to call phone numbers. Although it has to be said that there are quite a few customer service numbers which are already free to call.

It has been estimated that an average call of around seventeen minutes would cost about £1.08 to Sky and to Talk Talk, while the same call to Virgin Media would be costing the customer £4.35. The aim of BT is to get at least 99% of the customer service numbers switched over to the 0800 and 0808 prefixes in time for the April deadline.
