Blinkx gets the jump on Kangaroo

by David Allen

Delaying the release of the multi channel venture known as Kangaroo is costing not only money but in the long run could end up costing viewers too.

Kangaroo is meant to be the number one online site for TV shows from the BBC, ITV Channel 4 and Five. However, before it has even had time to get off the ground, another rival has popped up in the shape of Blinkx.

Now a new search system can be used to get access to all UK TV content online.
Blinkx have released their Universal TV Remote, user will be able to search for shows using either the channel or the shows name, once found the user is directed to where this can be downloaded or viewed for free!

In the meantime, Kangaroo is waiting for a decision by the Office of Fair Trading after being flagged by the Competition Commission.
