Orange UK gets ready for IPTV

by David Allen

Orange UK have been wanting to copy the success of the French division for some time.

IPTV has proved to be a success across the Channel, although Orange UK has never been able to get to grips with it over here, despite saying that they were interested in launching.

However, it seems that following trials of Orange TV in various parts of the country, they are now ready to join the other providers by offering their customers a slice of Orange TV.

There have been no firm dates as to when this service is likely to launch, but one thing is for certain, it is going to be a major part of any packages that are being offered to both new and old customers.

It is thought that Orange TV will be made of a combination of own content as well as offering some sort of on demand service.

This is how the service works in France so there is no reason to think that it would not be run on a similar basis here in the UK.
