Carphone Warehouse first to sell white iPhone

by David Allen

The Carphone Warehouse is set to become the first UK retailer to sell the 8 Gb version of the white iPhone. It is on sale now and that is well before O2 who will start selling the white iPhone in around three weeks time and even the Apple Store too, although they have been selling the 16 Gb white iPhone for some time.

This new white 8 Gb iPhone will be sold at £99 on the £30 per month O2 tariff and will be free for customers who take the £45 per month tariff, while the 16 Gb version is £159 on the £30 per month tariff and £59 on the £45 per month tariff.

O2 say that they will be offering the 8 Gb iPhone to their customers direct within a few weeks, but have given no time frame as when this is likely to be.

  1. Carphone Warehouse the first ? I think not. Apple has been selling them in their retail stores for weeks. Why would you go to Carphone Warehouseto buy an Apple phone ?
