Mozilla announces Add-On winners

August 26, 2008

This is third year of the Mozilla Extend FireFox contest; this is where the corporation decides which are the best add-ons for the FireFox browser. This is interesting because there were more than a hundred entrees into the competition this year.

Because this year’s competition was launched in March this means that FireFox 3 was the centre of attention, making the add-ons more relevant for the users of today.

This year’s winners were:

- Pencil, a diagramming and graphics interface tool;
- Tagmarks, which adds additional tagging icons to Firefox 3.0′s location bar;
- HandyTag, an extension that provides relevant keywords for associating with bookmarked sites.

As for the winners, they received travel and accommodation to one of the Mozilla Developer Days and an Apple Mac Book Pro 15 inch notebook.
