The LeWiz video streaming company has announced a new generation of iStream5206TM 6-port video streaming cards that apparently use just five percent of CPU utilisation.

They are aimed at the servers manufactured by SeaChange, providers of video-on-demand systems for cable television operators and telcos globally.

According to the company the new cards are more efficient than those of their competitors, with substantially lower power consumption reduced cost and added flexibility.

They perform very well at 24 Mbps per stream and have proved to be very successful when run at full capacity given that video stream’s media delivery index has proved precise even at full speed.

The cards are capable of tracking many thousands of clients simultaneously and are used to stream video from video server to clients, for applications such as video-on-demand (VOD) or IPTV.
