It appears that a deal has been agreed between the BBC and Nokia.
This agreement will see the famous iPlayer being pre-loaded onto the Nokia N96 as from October 1st.
However, owners of other handsets will be able to visit the BBC website to download the iPlayer and stream the TV shows that are available at the time.
For Nokia this will give them an edge over some of the competition, as the iPlayer has become very popular since its launch last Christmas.
The BBC will see this as another avenue opened for the iPlayer as they continue to look for new audiences.
Through Nokia, they will have access to a completely new range of people and therefore this is a good deal for them and the future of mobile TV.
