If there is one thing that football fans in Scotland would not like to see is England winning 4-1 against Croatia, instead of the advertised match of Scotland against Iceland.
This is exactly what happened to BT customers last night as they settled down to watch the world cup qualifiers.
The problem occurred when sports provider, Setanta, moved the Scotland match from Setanta Sports 1 to the other channel, Setanta Sports 2.
Ordinarily this would not have been a problem. This is except for BT Vision subscribers who found the second channel is not included in their package.
This is really not entirely BT’s fault, because Setanta, at the last minute, failed to sell the rights to the match highlights to both the BBC and ITV for an estimated £1 million.
However, having failed to do so, they decided to show the match on the primary channel.
