O2 offers free broadband

by David Allen

With so many deals offering mobile broadband and a laptop at no cost, it is sometimes hard to see a decent deal that is just for mobile broadband as a stand alone service.

They are there, but mobile providers are looking to tie customers into a long term contract.

O2 must have realised this, for they have come up with a promotion that might be of interest to new customers who already have their own laptop, or would prefer to buy a new laptop that suits their needs.

The package offers O2 mobile broadband with a 3 Gb usage allowance for £20 per month.

In return for taking this package out, the customer is then entitled to O2’s up to 8 Mbps fixed line home broadband free for a year, after which the normal charges will apply.
