William Hague supports NYnet

by David Allen

The former leading of the Conservatives, William Hague has pledged his support for the NYnet project, which is a partnership between Yorkshire Forward and the North Yorkshire County Council.

The idea behind the project is to improve the broadband network throughout the area and they have been given financial backing from the EU in order to ensure the area does not fall behind the rest of the country in providing a high speed broadband connection.

Mr Hague believes that this not just going to be great for Yorkshire, but could spread out in time to cover a larger area, maybe even the entire country.

NYnet already provides fast public sector telecoms; in fact, they claim to be the fastest in Europe.
