123play.com has had some success with its free mobile games offerings in the UK that were launched just a few months ago, and now the company has opened up their advertising backed game play to Europe.
Now mobile users in France, Germany, Italy and Spain can play games for free on their handsets.
These games are also available for free download at the company’s web site.
The company offers a choice of eighty games from well known game brands Digital Chocolate, RealArcade Mobile, THQ Wireless, Hands-On, Indiagames, In-Fusio, Player-X and Progressive Media, and users can play as many games as they wish.
When launching mobile 123play.com users will see adverts before the game can start, you can click on the adverts to go to company sites or not.
If you watch the adverts the game will then start up. After you have played that game, as long as you wish to watch another couple of ads between games, you can play for as long as you like for free.
There is a one time connection fee, and after that you can just keep playing without paying again for that session.
This means if you have a flat rate tariff system the games should be completely free of charge, if not the total charge is said to be “a few penceâ€
Play is possible on over 800 different types of handheld phones and devices and it operates on all networks.
