Cut price HD box from Sky

by David Allen

To celebrate the launch of a further seven HD channels, Sky thought it might be a great idea to beef up the HD subscriber base by offering the Sky+ HD set top box for half price.

The deal will start in October and run for the entire month, and the price will £75 instead of the normal £150.

The new channels will be mainly HD versions of the Sky Movie channels, Sky Movies Action/Thriller HD; Sky Movies Sci-Fi/Horror HD; Sky Movies Drama HD; Sky Movies Modern Greats HD; Sky Movies Family HD and Sky Movies Comedy HD.

There will also be the addition of a new HD version of Sky Real Lives.

When these channels launch, this will take the total amount of HD channels available on Sky to twenty six.
