There are some questionable speeds tests being released; one has O2 at the top, while in the latest broadband speed test only a week later, Virgin Media are placed at the top.

It should come as no surprise that Virgin Media have managed to climb all the way up the broadband speed ladder considering the amount of money and time they have spent on developing the network.

Virgin Media came out with a download speed of 6.13 Mbps, while O2 only managed 5.32 Mbps.

At the other end of the table was Eclipse, who recently announced that they are going to offer 24 Mbps. They had a download speed of just 1.892 Mbps.
