Freeview launching PVR campaign

November 5, 2008

As the switchover continues Freeview are about to embark on a huge national advertising campaign in order to promote their free to view services.

This comes just a few days after the launch of the Freeview+ personal video recorder (PVR).

In order to make a splash Freeview have recruited the services of some of the nation’s best known celebrities such as, Alan Carr, Gordon Ramsey, Steve Rider and Antony Cotton.

They will show the viewers the benefits of the PVR, like pausing live TV, recording of two channels and series linking.

This comes as Freeview announce a deal with Tesco, who will provide the Techwood Freeview PVR for around £70 with another basic Freeview set top box thrown in for free.

After the initial outlay, there are no charges to view the Freeview channels.
