The high speed broadband project for North Wales is about to go onto the next level as the Deputy First Minister of Wales Leuan Wyn Jones officially launches the project in Bangor.
The FibreSpeed project will be providing fibre broadband connections linking fourteen business parks across the area.
The first stage will see the laying of two hundred miles of fibre optic cable and broadband points of presence, which are located in the business parks.
This work will be carried out by the supplier Geo who will also operate the system.
Once the work has been completed then internet service providers will be invited to develop the commercial aspect of the network, which is going to be the first of its kind in the UK.
