Virgin Media confirms 50 Mbps launch

by David Allen

Last week it was announced that Virgin Media would soon be launching their eagerly anticipated broadband service that will offer connection speeds of 50 Mbps.

Now the launch date has been confirmed by Virgin Media.

As predicted, it will be the 15th December when Virgin Media will officially launch the broadband service that will put all of the other broadband providers in the shade.

The service has been tested virtually all year long in various situations.

Nevertheless, at the moment, there is nothing commercially viable that can even get close to the speeds that Virgin Media can potentially offer.

It won’t be until next week before the full details are known of exactly what they are launching and more to the point where this service will be operating, but one thing is for sure, the digital divide is about to get larger.
