Cash reward from BT

by David Allen

Following several highly publicised break-ins at BT exchanges around London, the company have decided to put up a reward in order to find out who the thieves are.

A reward of £15,000 has been put up for anyone who has information on the robbery at the exchange in Stepney, East London where phone and internet equipment was stolen.

This affected the whole area’s broadband and phone services.

It is believed that the people responsible for this crime are also the same people wanted for other very similar burglaries around London, like the one in Mayfair.

It is not so much that the equipment costs run into thousands of pounds, but it is also the disruption to the services in a wide area that these events cause, which is why BT are taking this very seriously and want to see the culprits brought to justice.
