Ofcom warns Pipex over MACs

Another internet service provider is in trouble over the Migration Authorisation Codes (MACs). This time the media regulator is reprimanding Pipex because they have failed on several occasions to provide their customers with a MAC.

Without a MAC a customer wanting to switch broadband providers could have to wait weeks, or in the very worst cases months, before the switch could actually take place.

Ofcom brought in the MAC scheme in order to make switching easier.

They have informed Pipex that they have until the 23rd January to sort this problem out; otherwise, Ofcom will have no alternative but to take further action against them.
