by David Allen

Twitter is very popular amongst people from all walks of life including many celebrities, but being famous does have its disadvantages, as many found out recently when the micro blogging site was hacked.

Amongst those celebrities who had their pages hacked were Barack Obama, Britney Spears and the news networks of CNN and Fox.

The hackers posted false statements on the sites, which were none too flattering for the celebs and other people who had become victims of the hacker.

In the meantime Twitter have removed their support tools while they work on a fix for the problem, which gives away how the attacks took place.

They are also saying that users should not follow any links or requests from outside sites.
