3 on demand offers Sky TV on mobile

by David Allen

Mobile operators will be able to offer their customers satellite TV from Sky on the ‘3 on demand’ mobile service.

That could create a very quiet commute to work, as travellers sit there watching their handsets.

This service will allow users not only access to Sky TV, but also the BBC’s iPlayer and many other TV shows too, giving the user the chance to choose which type of service they prefer.

On demand services are not exactly satellite TV, but they do give regular satellite viewers, who for some reason have missed an episode of their favourite show, the chance to easily catch up.

It may not be satellite TV but it will certainly complement it.

Prices are reasonable, with a week’s mobile TV costing between 99p and £1.99, depending on which services are required.
