The internet service provider, Be Broadband, has long been associated with online gaming through its packages such as Be Gamer, therefore joining up with the UK eSports Association (UKeSA) is just another natural move for them.
The UKeSA has announced that Be Broadband will be their official broadband provider sponsor for 2009, adding more credibility to the ISP’s gaming connections.
There is now an Open Division within the UKeSA where any player can get involved and for the experienced gamer there is the Championship Division where there are 6,500 individual players from 1,500 teams, from all around the UK.
They all compete for a stake in the £35,000 prize money.
This suits Be Broadband as it is attempting to be a hip and trendy ISP, and providing packages aimed at gamers and being involved in the gaming industry it is not going to do them any harm at all.
