Apple planning multi-touch keyboard

February 20, 2009

Is Apple plotting the end of the keyboard, as we know it?

The development of a multi-touch keyboard could mean that in the not too distant future this could replace the standard keyboard and mouse.

Apple has already switched from buttons on their iPhone and iTouch devices, therefore it should come as no surprise to find that it could be planning a similar type of device that has been specifically designed for computers.

Recently the company has been seen in the job market looking for multi-touch engineers, another clue that something is in the pipeline.

One thing that stands out in these adverts is the term “Gesture Algorithms”; could there really be such a product in development?
