Asus launches Box 206 in UK

by David Allen

The tiny computer that is hardly larger than a book from Asus is to be launched in the UK.

This is the closest thing that users are going to get to the MacMini, in size if nothing else.

The Asus Eee Box 206 is the new edition of the Eee Box, which has some interesting features including:

Intel Atom processor
160GB of hard disk
1GB of RAM and Windows XP
HDMI port
Eee Cinema software installed
A remote control

A good feature for those interested in saving energy is Powersaver.

This device could save people who leave the computer on 24/7 around £100 per year.

The Asus machine will cost around £300, whereas the Apple will cost around £400.
