The satellite provider BSkyB has not seen any significant change in trading since it last reported on the subject back in January.
Although the company does expect the economy to get worse before it gets better, according to BSkyB chief executive Jeremy Darroch, who was speaking at a conference in Florida.
BSkyB has indicated that it would still be interested in the purchase of the UKTV network of channels that includes Gold, Dave, Blighty, Alibi and other popular channels.
It was also stated that BSkyB is keen to keep up with the appeal on its 17.9 per cent holding in rival broadcaster ITV. What happens there could affect the future acquisition plans for BSkyB.
This year is going to be challenge for any business, but BSkyB appears to be weathering the storm so far.
