The computer manufacturer, Asus, has the dubious honour of being responsible in most part for the mini laptop boom that has taken hold in the UK.
It is now about to ramp things up even further by bring out a laptop with the Android operating system.
This market is dominated by Asus and Intel, but the laptop with Android will give Asus the upper hand for a while.
However, the addition of more features could mean that prices of these mini laptops will increase to the same levels as the entry level laptops.
Asus is even talking about introducing ten inch displays too.
These have proved to be popular with other brands, but then again it’s another move on from the original concept.
Maybe by adding Android, which uses less powerful processors, the cost will come down.
