The long awaited UK launch of “Street View” by Google has taken place, but users should not expect to find their home straight away, unless it is located in one of twenty five cities.
Street View offers the user the opportunity to walk down streets and roads that bring back memories or to check out an area to live in.
Street view has had its opponents and why not, some people value their privacy and rightly so.
However, if they checkout their own property and if there is something that they do not like, then Google has stated that it will change it or wipe out the entire building if necessary.
Street view can be found covering the following cities for now: Aberdeen, Belfast, Birmingham, Bradford, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Coventry, Derby, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Oxford, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich, Nottingham, Scunthorpe, Sheffield, Southampton, Swansea and York.
The service is set to expand as and when the Google cars can get round other cities and towns.
