by David Allen

The BBC Trust has allowed the BBC to increase its online spending by around twenty seven per cent, taking it up to over £145 million per year, over the next three years.

At the same time the BBC was given permission to make £400 million in savings.

This covers pay freezes and salary cuts for some of the BBC’s biggest stars, who are without a doubt going to be famous names.

Apart from the rise, the online activities will be getting even more cash because since the decision there has been an increase in the TV Licence fee.

BBC Online will be concentrating on the essential areas such as news, kids, knowledge, search and other facilities that consumers have been demanding from the online section.
