Hampshire Freeview users need to retune

March 26, 2009

The firm behind the digital switchover, Digital UK, is carrying out some reorganisation of the airwaves.

This is taking place because the company is preparing for the digital switchover in 2012, and it will mean that some viewers of Freeview services will need to retune their equipment.

All households who receive their signal via the Rowbridge transmitter located on the Isle of Wight will need to retune their equipment.

The transmitter’s area covers Hampshire, East Dorset, West Sussex and the Isle of Wight.

Some users may feel that this sounds like a technical job, but as with most digital equipment they can quite easily do it without outside help simply by pressing the Menu button, then Install and selecting Auto Set Up.
