WorldSIM has announced the launch of its dual UK-US simcard this week in Las Vegas.
The dual simcard – the first of its kind in the world – has a UK and a US number attached to it, meaning that frequent travellers between the two countries can make calls at local prices without having to switch simcards.
In addition, the sim gives free roaming to 55+ other countries where WorldSIM already operates – meaning that US customers will be able to roam internationally at a fraction of the price charged by other US operators.
Features of the data-enabled simcard include real time itemised billing, call forwarding, and call recording.
Arif Reza, WorldSIM director, said: “Our UK-US sim will revolutionise how people keep in touch when they travel on both sides of the Atlantic – no longer needing 2 sim cards.”
He added that WorldSIM deliberately opted for a US launch “to showcase the sim’s dual UK-US functionality and capability.”
