The computer maker Hewlett Packard (HP) is considering whether it is viable or not to include the Google mobile operating system Android in some of its cheaper and smaller laptops.
Android has not really set the world on fire yet; there has been some interest in the mini laptop market, but nothing solid has come through.
These plans from HP are a positive sign that Android could eventually find its way into a mini laptop at some time.
Once it gets a hold in the market then word should soon get around, with other users soon becoming interested in using it.
Currently it is only Asus that has come out and stated that it will be bringing out an Android version of its smaller devices.
Dell which looked as if it was going to go with Android, is rumoured to be just playing around with the operating system.
